How to clean tarnished jewellery simple and effective

Hey Hey Hey it’s nearly Ho Ho Ho 🎄time.

If you’re looking at the drawer wondering what you’re going to do with all this dirty jewellery you want to wear for Summer 🌺 with all your nice outfits here’s a few tips for you…

It’s time to remove the tarnish and grime and get them back in a nice clean & dry state.

The tarnishing will occur gradually when the surface is exposed to the air and moisture but our best ways to inhibit is to stop this in its tracks.

Make sure you keep your jewellery in a velvet pouch, Ziploc airtight bag or container with excess air expelled and this will slow down the oxidisation.

The fastest way to tarnish your jewellery is by contact with moisture, lotions, oils, liquids, sweat and perfume.

Be sure to regularly clean your jewellery with a good quality polishing cloth & for best results, please do this on a regular basis at least 2 to 3 times per year is essential.

All metals are susceptible to tarnishing so a routine clean will work wonders for the life of your items.

Talk to your local jeweller – Gillian’s Jewellery today and have your jewellery checked on a regular basis.

And remember… Be sure to put on your jewelry as your final step in preparing to go out as part of your beauty/getting ready routine.
