Gillian’s Jewellery has served Melbourne’s eastern suburbs from Forest Hill Chase since 1981. We’re a boutique jeweller specialising in jewellery repair, remodelling, restoration and custom design, and a licensed second-hand dealer with more than 30 years’ experience in vintage, antique and estate jewellery.

Much of the jewellery we work on carries family history, so we take the time to understand what a piece means to you before we start. Our aim is personalised service at a fair price.

We offer jewellery repairs, remodelling, restoration and custom designed, handmade jewellery. As a licensed second-hand dealer, we also buy and sell vintage, antique and estate jewellery.

Our store stocks rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets and pendants, along with vintage and antique pieces.

We no longer sell online, so all purchases are made in store. If you’ve seen a piece on our website, call us on (03) 9877 6616 to check it’s still available before you visit.

We work with fine silver, sterling silver, white gold, rose gold and yellow gold in 9k, 14k and 18k. We also work with high-purity 22k gold and 24k pure gold.

The most reliable way is to have your finger measured in store. Finger measurement is only part of it: the ring’s width and side profile, how many rings you wear on the same finger and the shape of your fingers all change the fit. Contact us or drop in during opening hours and we’ll size you properly.

Yes. We resize rings so your favourite piece sits comfortably and securely. Contact us to make an appointment.

Yes, most solid jewellery can be engraved. Hollow pieces may not be suitable. If you’re not sure, bring the piece in and we’ll check it for you.

Yes. We repair jewellery at our Forest Hill Chase store, from broken chains to loose stones. Common repairs include:

Yes. Custom design is one of our specialities. Book an appointment with our jewellery expert, San, to talk through your ideas, even if you haven’t settled on a style yet. We then design and handmake the piece for you.

Yes. We remodel outdated, unworn or inherited jewellery into new designs, often reusing the original stones. It suits an engagement ring you want to modernise or a family piece you’d rather wear than keep in a drawer.
